An accountant since 2010, Brittany has built a career on providing financial clarity. She delights in making financial processes easier for clients, giving them the clarity they need to focus on their mission. Having served real estate, construction, higher education, abortion clinics, and nonprofits, Brittany particularly enjoys working with service-based organizations, helping them streamline their financials and achieve their goals.

David is a visionary, a catalyst for executive leaders, and a geek. David has been in IT both in the United States Navy and then in civilian life since 1997. He then co-founded Tier One Services in 2011 with a mission to infuse business with dignity and respect, even in technology and finance.

Co-owner & Managing Member

Jaime is the co-owner and Managing Member of Tier One Services. In the industry since 2003, Jaime loves to create policies and systems which center equity and geeky templates which promote efficiency for the team in service to our clients. Jaime stands firm in her commitment that social justice and financial health are NOT at odds, and that money, long used as a tool of oppression, can be used as an instrument of liberation. Some of her favorite aspects of running an accounting firm for social justice are advancing compensation equity and helping clients financially thrive as they advance equity in our communities.

Janella Crum

Treasury Specialist Coach, Treasury Specialist, Operations Analyst

Janella has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Management Systems Engineering and is Six Sigma Certified. She became an industrial engineer in 2004 and takes special pride in leading a snack food line from concept to production. This yielded a 13% increase in revenues, and the product is still on the shelves!

Today Janella particularly enjoys keeping processes drama-free for nonprofits. Janella’s superpower is in asking questions to thoroughly understand what makes a process tick.

Tenisha has been in the accounting and finance industry since 2009 and the healthcare industry since 2000. One of her favorite things to do with clients is the budgeting process – having conversations about the future and carving a path forward to reach those goals.

Danyel has been in the industry since 2007. Danyel’s favorite thing to do for clients is reimagine what is possible for their organizations and chart a viable financial path to achieving their goals.  Danyel’s favorite industries to serve are Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) as well as organizations in DEI, worker justice, racial justice, and restorative justice.

Pamela Isham, BA

From cross-cultural communication to operational support and leadership, Pamela has been enhancing and managing processes since 1989. Her greatest satisfaction comes from positioning practitioners to be able to focus on the work they love the most, and her greatest joy on the job comes from doing all of this in service to the advancement of equity in the world. Pamela’s favorite industries to serve include mission-driven organizations and manufacturing.

Her accounting career, begun in 2015, has included auditing, consulting, fund accounting, grant accounting, governmental accounting, and internal auditing. The best moments are when financial conversations grounded in clarity and accountability lead to more impact – whether that’s growing a mission, strengthening a team, or better serving a community. Thao’s favorite missions to serve include education equity, financial literacy in underserved communities, and the preservation of our natural environment.

Valerie Paul, BA, MM

Having been in banking operations since 2000, Valerie loves to find process gaps and create task efficiencies. Valerie is known for leaving no stone unturned: She once recovered more than half a million dollars for her bank and has prevented and detected thousands of dollars in payment and banking errors for our nonprofit and small business clients.

Valerie’s favorite organizations to serve focus on literacy, special education, and childhood hunger.
